The “Supermoon” of 2011

 
 
On March 19th I witnessed the rise of the full moon as it appeared from behind Pittsburgh’s tallest skyscraper, the USX Tower. This particular moon has been dubbed the “Supermoon” as it appears to be almost 15% larger than a normal full moon would appear.

Hopefully I’ll be around when the next “Supermoon” occurs. In another 18 years or so…
