REEL BIG FISH AND A REAL BIG THIRST

Reel Big Fish

Playing the third of five slots on the huge X Fest II concert at Pittsburgh’s Stage AE, the Ska Punk band Reel Big Fish wowed the constantly growing crowd with their amazing stage show. With a killer horn section and a very charismatic frontman in Arron Barrett, these guys did what they have been doing for over twenty years. They grabbed the audience’s attention and kept them “reeled” in from beginning to end. Check out the photos from their set, and then check out the part about the ‘Real Big Thirst.’

So what’s this about Reel Big Fish being thirsty? Well… along with a few lucky radio contest winners, I got to take a ride on one of the Pittsburgh Party Pedaler party bikes along with members of Reel Big Fish. Complete with two bartenders, two coolers of beer and a killer stereo system – the mobile bar was a ton of fun as we pedaled around the North Shore and even made a stop at The Beer Market near PNC Park. After a quick group photo outside of the Beer Market, I decided to help out with the pedaling on the way back to Stage AE. Let me tell you, that thing was not easy to get moving once we added a few more gallons of beer-weight to the payload. All in all it was a great time, and nobody fell off of their seats. Even when we took on a couple of Pittsburgh potholes…
