Cinco de Manson !!!

There was a full moon… It was Cinco de Mayo and Marilyn Manson came to town. My first outdoor show at Stage AE this year was a really good show. The sound was awesome, and the lighting was surprisingly amazing. I was half expecting to shoot in near-darkness.

Random Photo Post 5/3/2012

Here’s one of the random photo posts that I talked about on my 52 Week Page back when i completed it.

Just toying around with some HDR (High Dynamic Range) processing. Just need to learn to tone down the halos a little bit next time.

Coming at the end of the month I’ll be knee deep in wedding photos. We’ve got a really fun couple that’s getting married and can’t wait for their big day to arrive. So keep your eyes open for what I expect to be some pretty cool shots.

I’m also hoping to get out and shoot another Stage AE concert or two this month. Fingers crossed on the photo passes ;-)

Young the Giant @ Stage AE

Not going to say much more than “Wow!!! What a killer show!”   Young the Giant came to Pittsburgh and totally crushed it at Stage AE. Both the music and stage show were spectacular, as was the lighting. Check out some of the photos below.

Mastodon @ Stage AE 4-15-12

I was back in the pit this Sunday at Pittsburgh’s Stage AE, shooting Mastodon and their opening act Opeth. Armed with my Nikon and a pair of earplugs, I shared the pit with a couple of other photographers. Opeth was first two songs and Mastodon was first three. Not a whole lot of time to shoot, but I came away with a few keepers.

Here’s a few shots from Mastodon’s set.

Check back later this week. I’m shooting Third Eye Blind on Wednesday and Young the Giant on Friday.

Spring Has Sprung

Not much new going on besides meeting with a few prospective clients and getting ready for a May 25th wedding. I’m also getting excited about a lot of great concerts coming to town. Hopefully I’ll have the opportunity to shoot a few of them.

As the title of the post says, Spring has officially sprung in the Pittsburgh area. Well, it was more like Summer showed up for a week or so. Now we’re actually having early Spring weather. Here’s two photos that I shot in the back yard last week during the heatwave we had.
